In class I said Drew Brees is a good example of someone who is a hero. I’m going to stand by that. Drew is a person that I’d be willing to follow and I can say that I would truly trust him. I think that he is genuinely a good person.
As a Saints fan it’s really easy to call Drew a hero for several obvious reasons. We all know he won a Super Bowl and is one of the games top quarterbacks but it’s the things off the field that lead me to believe he is a hero. Drew takes on adversity and it brings out the best in him. He has every reason in the world to be arrogant yet he is extremely humble.
His dedication and passion is what would get me to follow him. It’s a hard thing to think of just dropping everything and putting all your trust in someone. If he asked me to go with him, I think that I would be so honored that he asked me that I would have to go.
Drew’s passion is contagious. I think that is his best quality. He has the ability to motivate people. That’s the most important thing for someone who wants to be followed. They have to be able to really speak to his/her people.
Today its hard to point out a person who doesn’t have any flaws. Everyone has their weak points but in Drew’s case, those weak points are hard to find. Especially being in the limelight like him, you’d think we’d know something unflattering about him. His reputation is squeaky clean. I think he is a great role model and someone I can look up to.
Its very doubtful Drew will ever ask me to follow him, but if I strive to be a better person because of him, then that makes all the difference. Drew makes the world a better place by just being himself.

This week I chose to write about the gifts that God has given me. I like to believe that our personality and traits are acquired through God and our parents. I think some things are God given and other things are achieved through our upbringing.
I think my best trait is my ability to make people laugh. I enjoy this more than anything and that could be a big reason why I am good at it. I think that as long as everyone is smiling and laughing, they are happy. It’s NEVER a bad thing to laugh. Well maybe sometimes if it’s at someone else’s expense, but for the most part laughing is a very good thing.
Whenever I am with my friends I really take pride in the fact that I can make all of them laugh. It’s usually done by making stupid, inappropriate comments or singing a little song that I make up. I know not everyone thinks that my sense of humor is funny but the important thing is that the people close to me think I am funny.
I’ve been getting really into making videos. As a communication major I am and are going to be taking classes dealing with videography. I really enjoy making these videos and have actually spent a good bit of time making one of my friends and I just for fun. I took a bunch of footage that I have randomly shot over the past year and so and put it together. It ended up being really funny and I know my buddies enjoyed watching it and reminiscing. I’ll stick a link at the bottom of the page if you’d like to check it out. It’s not TOOO offensive. Just kidding, I’d say it’s PG to PG-13.
I think another thing that God has blessed me with is a friendly face. I guess that’s kind of a weird thing to say but I like to think I have a welcoming face and smile. I don’t think that anyone would ever be afraid to come up and ask me something or spark a conversation with me. At least I would hope not. I like to believe I am a photogenic person and that’s one reason why I believe I can excel in sports broadcasting. I think that not only my knowledge but also my look could set me apart. You were right, writing this makes me feel like an egotistical prick.
I think my most important trait is my passion for things that I truly care about. When I grab onto something, I refuse to let it go. No matter how bad its hurting me, if I truly believe in it, I believe it will be for the best. If that makes sense. I consider myself to be a loyal person and I won’t give up on something just because it has fallen out of favor or it’s in a rut or what not. I will never be a fair weather fan in any sense of life.

This is my video. You’ll get to meet a few of the friends I talked about in Blog #4. Hope it makes you laugh!
